ATTN: NYC and Baltimore City High School Educators and Administrators:
The women of
Pynkberri are hosting our first annual Project-Royalty: Prom Drive and we need
your help! Do you know a high school senior who is need and deserves to have
their entire Prom wardrobe paid for? If so, we would like your support in
encouraging them to enter our Project Royalty Essay Contest.
Why should one
support Project Royalty? For a high school senior, living in an urban or small
rural community, sometimes going to Prom is totally impossible. The fiscal
cliff that has plagued our nation does not allow many parents to provide their
daughter or son with the necessary items for this once in a lifetime event,
which consequently results in their child missing one of the last chances to
make memories with their senior class. The goal of this initiative is to
provide high school seniors from NYC and Baltimore, MD with the prom attire of
their dreams. Each candidate is chosen through an essay contest in which they
must describe what they will do after completing high school to give back to
their community.
The women of
PYNKBERRI produce at least one community service event each year. Our mission
is to cultivate awareness among the young professionals of today about the
tremendous need to support the community. Being a part of the solution and NOT
the problem gives people hope and drive for the future.
Project Royalty will
be held on April 5th, 2013 in SOHO, NYC’s Greenhouse Club, 150
Varrick St. NY, NY 10013 from 6-11PM.
Attached is the essay
form and rules. Thank you for your support.
